You got to love these emails going around JW land.
by whereami infriends,.
a co in the w...... congregation said that the reason so many of our brothers are dis-fellowshipped isn't because of wrong doing, it's because the new system isn't a reality.
read this all the way thru, it is truly a dose of what is yet to come.

I wonder why the fox doesn't eat the chickens, but the chickens are eating worms?
That is too funny!

Sleeping your life away?
by sweetface2233 in"life is too short", "carpe diem", "eat, drink, and be merry...", "never put off till tomorrow..." we have all heard these phrases, taken them to heart, and burned ourselves out on the stress from them.
i say...screw that shite!
the only thing keeping me from jumping out the window of my 6th story apt or driving my car into the back of one of the metro buses on the beltway is knowing that, if one of those actions do take place, i won't be able to nap that afternoon.

You know it's bad when you wake up and as you crawl out of bed, you tell yourself that it is ok... you can go back to bed again tonight.
Where I live, we tend to have mild winters, and while the temperature is lowish, the skies are often still blue and the sun is bright. I get the afternoon sun in my bedroom. In summer it is unbearably hot, but.... one of my most fav. things is to have a nap on a winter afternoon - lie on the bed, with the winter sun streaming in the window to warm my soul!

by Princess Daisy Boo inso 8 years ago this time, i was running around in a mad rush - hairdressers and make up and flowers and so on.
the wedding was gorgeous.
somehow, by some miracle, we managed not to totally piss off either of our families (nic - of a catholic/anglican background and me of a jw background).

The only problem with this is that facebook is quite personalised - I have some active dubs as my FB friends and whilst I am getting braver, I dont want to out myself as an apostate completely just yet!!!

So 8 years ago this time, I was running around in a mad rush - hairdressers and make up and flowers and so on.
The wedding was gorgeous.
Somehow, by some miracle, we managed not to totally piss off either of our families (Nic - of a catholic/anglican background and me of a JW background).
My parents would have been happy if we had done it in a court (let's face it, they weren't too charmed that I was getting married) and Nic's mom wanted a traditional church wedding, but I guess all things considered, it went off pretty well. We had a totally neutral ceremony at a beautiful club in the centre of the city and Nic's uncle, a magistrate, did the legal bit.
The reception was fantastic, we partied hard and were the last to leave! We got to our hotel in the wee hours of the morning and we were starving - we realised that we had hardly eaten a thing at the wedding what with all the nerves, greetings an dancing.
And now, 8 years later, we are still happy. We have had two babies, bought and sold houses, had some fights and tears but more importamtly lots of laughs and smiles and cuddles.
The funny part... my dub sister sent me a text message at 5:57 am wishing us a happy anniversary but did not call me once last year for my birthday - go figure!

NEW TRACT CAMPAIGN PLANNED....
by sir82 in....for october 20 - november 16.. there is a new tract to be introduced, with the title "do you want to know the truth?".
it is not a "kingdom news" campaign - after the campaign, this tract will join the "regular rotation" of tracts to be used in the field misery.. it is designed to replace the "do you want to know more about the bible" tract - the goal is to use it to start "bible" studies.. the goal is to cover all of the congregation's territory in 4 weeks, similar to other campaigns in the past.
unlike other campaigns, though, the congregations can order as many as they would like - they are not limited to 50 per publisher.
